Keep reading about this chap but have never heard him 'til now. It sounds a little like i expected. Pulsing electronics with Reich like strings and Arthur Russell vocals. Very poppy. The track threatens to build to a crescendo but never quite does leaving you craving for more. Its slightly directionless I'd say but very nice. It features an all star cast of remixers. Dan Deacon faffs around with the vocals, building them up, letting them echo off whilst bringing in the kind of propulsive drumming that's missing from the original. Benoit Pioulard makes a noise then brings in utterly beautiful strings. CFCF put in a dub step like drum and have what sounds like pan pipes echo in before using the vocals almost in their entirety creating a nice space. Simon Bookish goes mental with his mix whilst...... oh my God here he comes... clown shoes on his feet, a button for a nose its Max Tundra who does an alarming job in turning the track into something else entirely - an 80's electro pop number.
