Field Music - Let's Write A Book

Let's Write A Book by Field Music

4...according to our on Thu 03 Jun, 2010.

The latest single from Field Music is in a word......Scumdidilyumptious!! It reminds me of some strange things. Like a mouse with a side parting or a man with an aversion to chives. It first reminded me of Peter Gabriel with its hard hitting drum mix. It then reminded me of Prince in his helium voiced pomp. It's a strange song, it do sent have a massive chorus or any other cliches. Its so strange....but I reckon its single of the week material. The flip side is a cover of a Syd Barret song. Its sung in falsetto and its fucking ace....Oh!!! I'm not in Fabios Final 23...what a crock!!!!!

‘Let’s Write A Book’ is the second single to be drawn from the hugely acclaimed double album ‘Field Music (Measure)’

•    ‘Let’s Write A Book’ is an inspired call to arms for the perpetually apologetic and surely the most un-Field Music of Field Music songs yet.
•    The second single to be pulled from their hugely acclaimed double album ‘Field Music (Measure)’, it sees younger brother David taking the lead with an inspired and surprising Northern funk work out.
•    The B-side is Field Music’s reimagining of Syd Barrat’s ‘Terrapin’, appearing exclusively on vinyl.
•    Field Music will be touring around the UK from May onwards and making appearances at a selection of festivals, including being selected by Richard Thompson for Meltdown, headlining at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, and handpicked by Belle And Sebastian for their Bowlie 2 ATP event in December.
•    Available on limited edition 7” (300 copies).
