Drunk Girls!!! Lyrically this new LCD Soundsystem single kinda reminds me of the old Talking Heads song 'The Girls Want to Be With the Girls' with it's the Drunk Girls do this...drunk boys do that gender comparisons...that and the fact that it sounds sorta like a disco punk version of Dexy's Midnight Runners or Squeeze makes for an inviting listen. It's a got fuzzed up psych guitar solo and overall it's pretty much a party winner. Getting pally with everyone's favorite stoners Wooden Shjips is probably a wise move for James Murphy and their version of the track (a cover as opposed to a remix) takes a little off the pace and brings the phase pedal to the fore. It's fuzzy, spaced out and saturated in echo box madness. A must for LCD and Wooden Shjips fans alike.
