• Original garage and junglist Grievous Angel makes dubstep, UK funky and 2step. Soul Jazz Records presents two heavyweight mixes of this killer tune featuring Rubi Dan, which is also featured on the forthcoming Kode9 mix CD.
• Originally from East London he migrated to Brixton before settling in Sheffield in 2002, where he started producing seriously. His first vinyl outing on his own Devotional Dubz imprint was a dubstep and garage refix of D’Angelo’s ‘Lady (Dub)’, championed by Radio One DJ Mary Anne Hobbs and dubstep impresario Martin Blackdown Clark. Grievous Angel’s gigantic garage remix of jungle don Naphta’s ‘Soundclash’ came out on Blackdown & Dusk’s seminal dubstep label Keysound in late 2009 to much acclaim, alongside another Margins Music Redux where he remixed the entirety of Blackdown & Dusk’s first album before re-making it as a DJ mix.
• As well as doing music Grievous Angel runs the Woofah magazine, covering reggae, grime and dubstep.
