Blue Queen/ Haunted Trails - Split

Don't know anything about either of the artists presented on this split but I'm pleased to hear the crushing sound of psychedelic rock come gushing out of the speakers when I hit play. Yeah Y'all! So we've got a split here from Infinite Exchange that unites Haunted Trails and Blue Queen. The Haunted Trails tracks are immediately very inviting, sounding a little like Cave but with a steadier back beat and loads more space soloing. Their sound is spot on, not too produced but not so mangled and lo-fi that you can't enjoy the riffage on display. Blue Queen go at it in a more unhinged, crazy improv style with guitars that don't sound too dissimilar to a whale being tortured while a bunch of helium induced dolphins swim by laughing. It's an awesome sound to be fair.
