Splash: Jeremy Jay's 3rd Album, was Recorded while Jeremy was living in London in the Summer of 2009 in between tours. Sounding more like a sonic postcard reminicent of Early Pavement, & "Evol" era Sonic Youth being played by Souxie Souix; SPLASH mixes a Cut Up lyrical approach with a strong narative, Making The whole album feel like a breath of fresh air. With crunchy guitars and sky souring synths, this sonic postcard takes us; on the opening track As you look over the City, on top of a rooftop overlooking London at night. "Sewn up Wranglers and Florshiems, Your True love Sparkles, you found a band of Jaguars and wrote the story of your life". Super Tuff and Grungy, This album has a youthfull abandon in songs like This is our time, where Jeremy sings "Get on some new Jeans, a Haircut at the Shop, A suitcase full of Wishes, as You walk into the City". With Splash, you can tell that this album has a very american feel to it, deep in the roots of 80's SST and Homestead Records. In a recent interview, Jeremy says "It seemed like i was only watching nastalgic 80's movies like the Goonies, Rad, & Time Bandits at the time i wrote this cause i was really missing home (California)". Just Dial My Number, the single from SPLASH infuses a hard hitting bass drum with percussive acoustic guitars mixed with lucid synths bringing this song to a steady Disco Grunge Beat just to Bash it up at the end with Anthemic Chords and Dreamlike Piano Playing. Splash was Produced and Mixed by Jeremy Jay at Fortress Studios London. Engineered by Robert Harrison, and features Jet Marshall on Rhythm Guitar, Tony Harwood on Bass, and Jacob Grace Drums.
