Another reissue here, this time of a more current concern.. In the wake of his recent success Ruralfaune have decided to make this EP available again in both CD (200 copies) and CDr (50 copies) versions. By this point you probably don't need me to describe Daniel Lopatin's highly satisfying polyphonic synth-abusing schtick (and if you do, the soundclips will probably do a better job of it than I ever would) so I'll just say that the first two tracks here are fine examples ('Continuous Smooth Jazz Trepanation' clearly wins the Best Title prize but I prefer the title track as a tune) while the third offers shows another side completely, a kind of MTV Oneohtrix Unplugged vision which sounds like 'Space Oddity' probably would if it'd actually been recorded up there on a dodgy cassette before being sent back to Earth, only to be discovered years later when enough sonic degradation had taken place for the meaning to be nigh-on impenetrable.
Tracklist 1 Continous Smooth Jazz Trepanation 13:11 2 Young Beidnahga 10:45 3 I Know It's Taking Pictures From Another Plane (Inside Your Sun) 2:30
