I totally bummed the last Tunng album. I thought it was heartbreaking, uplifting, mischievous and emotive all at the same time.... A bit like any England football teams performance at any World Cup since '66 . This paticular cut from the aforementioned album is ace! I remember it well. I was just a rosy-cheeked kid then, with a head full of dreams and a penchant for freebasing sherbet dip...but these electro folkers brought me out of my Haribo induced stupor. This song is so gorgeous. It's something that will stay with you long after listening and I reckon its a really strong single. I might even give it 5 on 5...o.k. I will.

• The combination of acoustic guitars and synths in ‘Sashimi’ are symptomatic of the new direction the band have taken on their latest album. • The B-side is the winning mix from the SoundCloud / Drowned in Sound competition to remix previous single ‘Hustle’. • Tunng will be playing a European tour throughout April, plus a handful of festivals. • Limited to 500 copies on heavyweight 7” vinyl.
