The halfway point in this ten-part series takes things down a notch to usher in a sun-soaked vibe with Carlos Nino and Gaby Hernadez paired off with GB aka Gifted & Blessed. Carlos Y Gaby’s three contributions are expansive and thematically-linked keyboard-driven excursions, like a soundtrack to a sci-fi fantasy that existed only in conversations and thoughts between the duo. Keeping it otherworldly on the flip, GB conjures up ‘Sketches Of Crop Circles’, a breathtaking three-part track spanning nine minutes. A key player in the seminal LA/Long Beach Sound in Color label, GB has worked with Steve Spacek, Daz I Kue, and King Britt amongst others. His recent ‘Reinterprets His Contemporaries’ EP showed, like Nino, he’s a master of many styles and he is without doubt one of the LA underground’s best kept secrets.
