The cover of this single is a bit disturbing. Loads of folks dressed in gas masks looking well unnerving. Possibly a bit My Chemical Romance but that's where the similarity ends! It starts of with a super energetic abrasive guitar riff and pounding drums with the guitars high up in the mix totally sucking you in. I like it. Very new wave sounding.... reminds me of bands like Ut and there's deffo a bit of early Siouxsie in there as well. It's a strong debut single and as far as indie 7" 's go it's defo one of the better ones I've heard in a while. Also includes a wee postcard inside which is nice. I like postcards. You can send them to people.

'Good Hood / Iodine' is the first release from new Dublin four-piece Logikparty. Available on limited edition
7" vinyl with download coupon. With repetitive locked-groove rhythms, agitated vocals and abrasive guitars, their sound takes its cue from the art-punk and no-wave movements of the late 70s and early 80s. Fear and delight in equal measures....
