Double AA side fun from Sunderland upstarts Frankie & the Heartstrings. Recorded for their own Sexpop imprint it's clear Frankie and the boys are planning some kind a sexy retro indie pop revolution. 'Tender' is a simplistic, enjoyable doo-wop number with hints of surf rock. Plenty of hand claps and catchy vocal lines hear son. Flip it over and you'll be treated to a more composed Dexy's style soul pop number complete with staxy brass and cheeky call and response vocal lines. Not bad.

OVERVIEW:
Frankie & The Heartstrings release their second 7” vinyl only single on 26th April on their own label PopSex Ltd.
‘Tender’ and ‘Want You Back’ were recorded in Sunderland by the band’s own Pete Gofton and mixed by producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine, Klaxons). The results are pure retro-pop class.
The band are currently working on their debut album, due for release late August/early September.
