Talk about a fookin' cryptic puzzle! That cool young dude with the essence of the beautiful Alice Coltrane in his genes has smacked us with album number 4 - if you include the superb essential primer EP 'Reset'. This is what Warp records are truly about. Sublime electronic journeys. They've unleashed enough of them in the past! 'Cosmogramma' has had one criticism leveled at it & that's it's supposedly cluttered, over-layered passages. Just relax your mind, man, and it's a dream odyssey, far less aural wallpaper than the nevertheless ace 'Los Angeles'. There's so much more to this blinding mix (...for it flows like a dream mixtape) - mind melting percussive onslaughts of a staggering eclecticism throughout, plus the vibrant essence of wild jazz, mellow soul, digital funk & laconic hip-hop; it all freely breathes lungfuls on here. Truly soulful & deep electronica of the highest order, absolutely life-affirming! Maybe this will be a much loved smokers album, I hope so, I'm not always lighting up the chongs but tonight, for this baby, I sure am!

Since his previous album ‘Los Angeles’, Flying Lotus has become the torch-bearer for a brand new, truly global movement of musicians and fans – the world can’t wait to find out where he’s going to lead them next.

‘Cosmogramma’ is far too wide in scope to adequately describe, permeated with his rich musical heritage (his grandmother wrote songs for Diana Ross and Motown) and the spirit of his famed aunt Alice Coltrane.

Album collaborators include Thom Yorke (who FlyLo is also supporting live across the US in April), bass virtuoso Thundercat (Sa-Ra), Miguel-Atwood Ferguson (string arranger to Erykah Badu, Outkast, Dr Dre among many others), cousin Ravi Coltrane (son of John and Alice), harp prodigy Rebekah Raff and returning vocalist Laura Darlington.

‘Cosmogramma’ is set to be an important, groundbreaking album in the vein of DJ Shadow's ‘Endtroducing....’, Madvillain’s ‘Madvillainy’, Boards of Canada's ‘Music Has The Right To Children’, or Burial's ‘Untrue’. Several genres of music won't be quite the same once it has dropped.

Available on special edition limited edition gold foil–blocked CD slipcase (limited to only 1000 copies and available exclusively to indie retailers), ‘standard’ CD and double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
