Another week, another Bjerga/Iversen release for the droney faithful. For this project they've roped in Steffan de Turck for a live improvisation in the 'remote mountaintop Norwegian log cabin' style. It's probably the best thing I've heard from these fun lovin' cats in a while actually and despite the relative lightness of the cover (mit said log cabin) it's still the dark, unsettling stuff you'll be used to if you're familiar with previous releases. Backdrops of droney whirrs and static do the groundwork while clanks and scrapes set you further and further on edge. Definitely uneasy listening.

A Vibrant Struggle is the collaboration between Steffan de Turck (Staplerfahrer), Sindre Bjerga and Jan-M. Iversen. Between The Woods And Frozen Lake is the tenth release in the ongoing series of “The Molten Snow Tapes”, recorded as improvised live sessions in a cabin in the mountains of Norway.
