We got a super ace compilation album featuring 19 tracks of fresh, futurist electronic music and it's a total bargain price. It features exclusive tracks from Poborsk, Team Doyobi (4 tracks), Satoshi Aizawa, Cygnus, 5k3k51, Ynys Enlli, Collapstoft, S>>D, Konx-om-Pax, Fitz Ambro$e and Devonwho, M&C, Seesaw, Joe Gilmore, The Wyrding Module (Chris Gladwin from Team Doyobi) and finally The Midnight Episode. It's fine showcase of underground computer music/electro/techno/synth/ambient etc. There's a fine selection of styles from 5k351's ace warped, hyperactive machine funk through to Joe Gilmore's minimalist tonal explorations and The Midnight Episodes Killer zombie horror soundtrack. Even with such a variety of artists it still flows well as an album and comes very highly recommended. It serves as a taster for things to come from the label so the future is looking wicked!TRACKLISTING:

ICASEA is an electronic music company established in 2008 by
Satoshi Aizawa, Tom Knapp and Alex Peverett. ICASEA is a
platform for releasing physical products (Vinyl, Compact Disks,
T-shirts & other collectable formats) and digital downloads from
electronic musicians and computer/electronics based sound artists
working in a variety of locations across the globe. ICASEA
specializes in “Electronic Music”. Science fiction inspired
“Synthetic Futurist Music” created through the use and
appreciation of synthesizer, drum-machine and computer
technologies.
The music of ICASEA spans the genres of Electro, Electro-
acoustic, Hip-Hop, Acousmatic, IDM, Techno, Synthetic Funk,
Chip-tune, Ambient, Synthesizer Soul and several other forms of
electronic music for listening and dancing pleasure. In addition to
releasing music and performing at live events ICASEA maintains
an active online presence with a blog, website and popular series
of podcast mixes from the artists and special guests available
through iTunes.
“Audio Data Bank” presents a 19track overview of the initial ICASEA
roster of artists and serves as a primer to the label. It has been designed
with modern listening habits in mind and we feel it forms both a cohesive
single listening experience as well as a set of strong stand-alone showcase
tracks for the artists involved. The compilation demonstrates the range of
styles the artists produce and also re-enforces the underlying unifying
aesthetic of ICASEA.
The majority of songs are exclusive to this compilation release. The only
exceptions are the three miniature “64.” works by Team Doyobi that will
form part of a future release titled “Sixty Four” (featuring remixes by an
exciting selection of established electronic musicians)
The sleeve has been designed by Tom Scholefield / Konx-Om-Pax
(Display Copy, Warp, Planet-Mu, DFA…) and displays a new side to
his talents. The minimal sleeve calls to mind floppy disks, blank cassettes
and updates the ideas of classic data storage media.
In line with the labels optimistic view of the future the CD has been
manufactured using ecologically friendly methods, including carbon
offsetting and FSC certified card stock.
