The Art of the Theremin by Clara Rockmore

5...according to our on Thu 01 Apr, 2010.

I always get excited about boxes full of Mississippi records. We got 8 in this week and they're a real mixed selection of treats! This Clara Rockmore album is amazing! It comes with a forward from Sir Robert of Moog and it's one of those important historical documents for you archivists! Clara was a classical violinist and she used the training and skills to become a master of the theremin. On most of the tracks on this album it accompanies a piano but it's amazing how perfect she gets the pitch as a lot of the time the theremin sounds like she's singing. It's phenomenal!! The album features here concert playing pianist sister Nadia Reisenberg... keep it in the family! Comes with suitably disturbing sleeve....
