Young British Artists - Lived In Skin/ Million Miles

Lived In Skin/ Million Miles by Young British Artists

4...according to our on Thu 22 Apr, 2010.

This is a perky effort. It's an upbeat noisy bitch of a song. It's straight to the point and is quite exciting. It lasts about 3 minutes and packs a lot of ideas into its short playing time. The flipside is also pretty good and it's quite refreshing to hear something with a bit of gusto like this. It's limited to 300 copies so you'd best get it quick.....

New limited edition 7" release from Red Deer Club, killer new art rock single from Young British Artists. These songs were recorded and mixed by Tom Knott at Airtight Studios in Manchester and mastered by Paul O'Brien at POB Audio in the other city. These songs were written in a room. No. 7. Underneath the corner of Newton St and Hilton St.

Cath Aubergine Manchester Music /  Single Of The Month - "Right, let's give it a go". One day these words will be familiar to you as all those other great off-the-cuff spoken intros, heralding as they do Young British Artists' second single "Lived In Skin". Released in a very limited edition of 300 (buy the single and they send you the MP3s) this is already looking like a collector’s item in the making. Why? Because Young British Artists somehow encapsulate everything that’s been great about slightly gloomy northern indie music over the past 30 years and wrap it up in a contemporary edge"
