Is there such a thing as up beat-dronery? I didn't think so, what with me being utterly closed minded and all that. So I was quite taken aback by these guys. They seem to tick all the right boxes. They unleash a sonic assault upon you that is brooding, terrifying yet hugely uplifting ..a bit like a weekend at Lucio Fulcis, circa 1973. It's well worth yer hard earned earth pounds..

As organ scientist mudboy is back in Europe, Lexi Disques is happy to present his new 7-inch.

Mudboy comes from Providence, Rhode Island, the town of Lightning Bolt AND HP Lovecraft. He released cassettes, cdrs, vinyls, texts on various european, belgian and american labels including his own Free Matter for the Blind label. He’s also making sound/light installations and silkscreen visuals. A short CV is here if needed.

Music For Any Speed is based on a reflexion on time. Artwork: mudboy (printed on newspaper).

“A rollercoaster ride in the dark. A psychedelic nightmare if you wish. Two fine songs.” (FdW, Vital Weekly)

“my neigbour said the mudboy 7" sounds like an irish folk record and black sabbath's 'master of reality' played together. and the b side: like irish folk meets black sabbath afer a night of heavy drinking.” (Joeri Bruyninckx)
