Toog - Goto

Goto by Toog

French-born artist Toog is a musician, a poet, and a film director. He started his musical career in 1999 when he met the venerated Scottish singer/songwriter Momus, who toured together. In 2004 Toog released his album "Lou Étendue" on Karaoke Kalk together with Italian actress and director Asia Argento.
A couple of this album's tracks feature live collaborator David Fenech, who is a composer, improviser and performer based in Paris. His works include acoustic music, electronic tape recordings, digital media, sound installations and scores for theatre and cinema. Toog met
David Fenech in 2007, and they embarked on a collaboration and decided to create a series of poetry/sound pieces based on Toog's writings.

For the release of this new album 'Goto', Toog has produced a poetry and music performance (written songs and improvisational music) - a collection of musical ideas, references, nostalgia and gags, a balancing act between humour and serious contemplation of particular events. A musical diary, reflecting memorable encounters, experiences and oddities.
