I'll be honest, I don't think I'm that arsed about this. I guess something Suicide-y is what they're going for (cheap, dirty electronic rhythms, blaring organs) but it's not really coming off that well, largely because the lyrics are reasonably appalling and their whole schtick is embarrassingly contrived. Brian and I both came to a Black Rebel Motorcycle Club comparison so I guess it must have some sort of basis in fact. I guess maybe a spot of A Place To Bury Strangers too? You get the idea..Retro buzz-a-rama post-Suicide sleaze. Would probably be on a Sonic Mook Experiment comp if they still made them. Is this kinda what the Raveonettes were doing years ago then?
