• ‘Campsite Discotheque’ is the much anticipated debut album from Gloria Cycles, the brilliant four piece from breezy Brighton. It’s a gloriously quirky collection of 12 songs oozing with wit and charm, accompanied by blustery guitars and upbeat basslines. Vocals throughout the album are wonderfully shared between Kenny McCracken’s upbeat Scottish twang and the 6 foot sweet singing stunner Jen Dalby.
• The band have already charmed the likes of tastemakers at Radio 1 and spent most of 2009 playing their own brand of obscure pop to packed out audiences including 25,000 German music fans at Taubertal Festival, and UK’s Offset and Great Escape. The band will be playing shows at 2010’s SXSW and have various European dates in April. The band will soon be announcing a launch party show for the album release on April 5th and with further UK & festival dates to be announced soon.
• The album release coincides with new single ‘Religious’ being used on the film and trailer for upcoming Paramount Pictures movie ‘My Last Five Girlfriends’. The movie is tipped to be a surprise hit this Spring and is released nationwide on 19th March 2010. The video for ‘Religious’ was directed by the same director as the movie. band have a true DIY ethic, they make their own dazzling artwork, promote their very own club night in Brighton and also direct their own videos.
