I got the beard. The finest beard in all of Northern America. The beard is sharing the stage here with positively unbearded country traveller Emmett Kelly, His "act" is called The Cairo Gang. Together on this collaboration, these two fine gents construct tentative country ballads and atmospheric folk laments, loaded with sudden trapdoors containing woozy blues riffing & cracked soul - all this wrapped up in a wonderfully spacious, widesreen production job that doesn't detract from the intimacy & warmth of the songs. Some of the more affecting material i've heard from the Oldham cannon, it's also always nice to hear him spar with other worthy characters!
