Charm by Gay Beast

I love Gay Beast. Now PRE have split up they seem to be the only band keeping the old noise rock flame burning. Sure, XBXRX are still making the occasional appearance and Arab On Radar nearly managed to reform and bring the pain, though that didn't last very long...So, It's up to the Gay Beast lads to keep it real for all us Men's Recovery Project fans out there, and that's what they do. Gay Beast are dynamic, playful and totally awesome. Their riffage and discordance is bliss to me. 'Charm' is an awesome slice of instrumental action. Jarring rhythmic stabs and cool melodic synths battle it out in the arena of good times. You should be there. 'We Keep Our Victims Ready' is a quirk-a-thon to match anything A.P.A.T.T have put out and the addition of a vocal structure brings a sense of drama to proceedings. Really good.

GAY BEAST limited edition 7" single "Charm" and "We Keep Our Victims Ready". Gay Beast's first new recordings since the release of their acclaimed 'Second Wave' album. Formed in 2005 and renowned as Minnesota's premier agit-prog queer band, Gay Beast cuts a careening groove between the prickly corners of tunefulness and musical density, danceability and controlled chaos. Hand silk-screened covers. Touring Europe in February . Track Listing: 1) Charm, 2) We Keep Our Victims Ready
