Artist and composer Dan Fröberg is a true original, whether his modes of expression are sound-works, text-works, video-works or other presentations that are of his mind and hands. They all and always connect to the ever-growing labyrinth of clues and secrets and visions that are Dan Fröberg´s very own. Following his critically acclaimed cd-releases on Fylkingen Records and OEI Editör/Kning Disk; iDEAL Recordings are very proud to present two new compositions and two new cd´s by Dan Fröberg, released simuntaneously: At Dawn We All Fall Down The Stairs (iDEAL069) and The Existence of Do-Ti-La-So-Fa-Mi-Re-Do Is Everything! (iDEAL096). Yet three complex and psychedelically dark works of his, presented on two separate cd´s that are mirroring each other and might be considered as a double album. At Dawn We All Fall Down The Stairs consists of two compositions for multi-layered glass instruments and field recordings, partially recorded in Mexico. The Existence of Do-Ti-La-So-Fa-Mi-Re-Do Is Everything! presents a work for church organ, recorded in Göteborg and initially played by organist Mikael Wahlin, and thereafter constructed into a 48 minutes long composition by Fröberg. iDEAL Recordings also releases a strictly limited, signed and numbered (99 copies) edition in a box, Do-Ti-La-So-Fa-Mi-Re-Do, consisting of iDEAL069 and iDEAL096 together with three prints. So, welcome to enter the world of Dan Fröberg, and (in his own words)...find a sound and bend it and extend it and listen to how it travels along the fields and over and above the golden-glowing dog and in through the door and out through the hole in the ground and around and around and expanding into a choir and the leaves are rattling and the insects are chanting and the rain is raining and the grass is singing and listen to how everything grows and grows and the clouds are drumming and the shadows are humming and the woman in the sparkingly coloured dress is singing "We´ll never be the same again" and a message in the speakers in a distant elevator announces "Ladies and Gentlemen" and click and noisy feedback and "Sorry for falling dow..." and CLICK again and more feedback and a whisper is calling and out through the window and over a lake and echoes of long lost voices and thorugh a gate and through a gate and crackle and thud and remembrances and silence and everything is tuned and again and again and again and, and, and.. the existence of Do-Ti-La-So-Fa-Mi-Re-Do is everything!
