Third episode in the All City Los Angeles series featuring the combined mighty talents of Ras G & The Afrikan Space Program, and the one and only Samiyam. Three new tracks a-piece, stylee picture sleeve, massive demand. Is all.
...according to kamikaze.
The third in All City's Los Angeles series comes from Ras G and Samiyam. Three relatively short tunes from each of them, but the value comes in the depth within the tracks. Both Ras G and Samiyam have made their intentions quite clear with their respective releases over the past year or two, and this gives everything you want from both artists. For Ras G that's some mental whirring noises, a persistent underlying kick, a sparingly used snare, a load of beepy and crunchy noises used in just the right places, and someone yelling 'Oh Ras' at inappropriate moments. Spot on. For want of a better word, Samiyam 'boings' a lot more. Makes everything sound like you're playing on the Nintendo, but not in the tiresome 8-bit manner a lot of people are stuck on. He manages it time and again without feeling the need to be overly chirpy or owt. Everything he does, solid gold. This has been an incredible series so far, and I can't wait for the next seven to drop.
