Bit of an oddball release this... A Finders Keepers 7" made up of two Jean Pierre Massiera's compositions that have been rejigged and remixed by Maledictus Sound with an emphasis on the percussion, bass and drum elements. Described in the press release as 'concrete pop' these two compositions are essentially early psyche renditions of the type of improv/soundscape work you hear on record all the time nowadays. the A-side 'Wedding Party' is a real special effort that makes great use of clattering percussion and odd vocal samples. The B-side 'Ambones' is more of a straight ahead deal, spooky psych rock/funk in the vein of the Vampires Lesions soundtrack accompanied by various sound effects and bizarre vocal contributions. Both tunes are killer, as is expected from the Finders Keepers crowd.• Incredible incognito concept single from 1970 containing two full length concrete-pop nuggets that were later re-edited and re-titled to pad out the malnourished Chico-Magnetic- Band project.
• Featuring two of Jean Pierre Massiera’s finest moments constructed from recycled samples and regurgitated snippets from the SEM studio tombs with a heavy emphasis on drums and percussion.
• Originally housed in screenprinted two colour Day-Glo sleeve with a bizarre title (sharing matrimonial influences with William Shellers’ ‘Lux Aeterna’, released two years later) this 7” comes straight from the vaults of the mad scientist himself.
