I was quite scared by this. It says "Damaging Good Ears Since 1988" on the sleeve. I was expecting some ear shredding noise but instead but I was confronted by some sweet summery pop. I would like to listen to this on holiday or in a park maybe. The productions nice and shimmers like sun on water. It may not be everyone's cup of decaffeinated tea but its twee indie stylings should hold it in good stead. The track on side B has one of the finest harmonica solos put to record. If I were to sum this up in a word I would say "enchanting". If I were to sum it up in a sound I would say "BBBBWWWWAAAHHHHHH"...A limited edition 7” taken from their debut album ‘Roman Radio’ which is already receiving strong radio support from BBC 6 Music and Radio 2. The b-side is an exclusive track called ‘Padre Volante’ It’s about a Brazilian priest who tried to break the flying record by tying balloons to a chair and floating off, it didn’t end well! They’re heading out on a UK tour in March. Since the band split in 2008 Nat has embarked on what has so far proved to be a very fruitful solo career with her single for Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation ‘Dirty Rotten Soul’ made Single of the Week by Steve Lamacq on 6 Music. Their debut album with her new backing band The Figureheads (featuring MSTU co-founder Kevin Gori, Chris Loftus of Fury of the Headteachers and Neil Piper of Champion Kickboxer) was released on the 19th of October 2009
