OVERVIEW:
A neo-power-kraut galactic drama in three acts. The journey starts off at galactic dawn, landing in high speed adventure on an uncharted planet. When we reach our destination, it turns out to be within ourselves. Something we recognise as human.
 
The album was recorded a year ago and has since been reworked to find its musical identity. In the production we have steered away from muscles and distortion in order to create an elegant and majestic flowing sound form. Powerful but frictionless, in constant movement.
 
Ikons are six musicians and one video artist. The album was recorded by Ikons and mixed by Alex Palmestål of Pistol Disco and Dan Lissvik of Studio.
 
Live, Ikons perform against a backdrop of stunning visuals which in turn emphasise the repetitive and hypnotic elements of the music. In the Summer of 2009, the band were asked to bring their mesmeric show on tour as opening act to the legendary Spiritualized during their brief jaunt across Scandinavia. Expect UK and European tour dates to be announced in the Spring of 2010.
