Broadcast 2000 - Broadcast 2000

Broadcast 2000 by Broadcast 2000

· Broadcast 2000 is the musical brainchild of Joe Steer, a
classical music graduate with a unique take on folk using
computer-generated looping of acoustic instruments.
· Multitalented singer-songwriter Steer follows up his debut EP
‘Building Blocks’ with the self-titled full-length album
‘Broadcast 2000’.
· This time around the bedroom recordings have been spiced up
with violin parts recorded by acclaimed violinist Tom Hobden
of Noah And The Whale and additional production by star
producer Eliot James (Kaiser Chiefs / Bloc Party) to
complete a record full of mesmerizing orchestral folk-pop
compositions. The tracks are veritable symphonic gems
featuring smoothly layered vocal stylings and complex
yet harmonious musical arrangements that include
double bass, cello, guitar, ukulele, glockenspiel and percussion
all sung and played on the recordings by Steer himself. For his
live band, Steer has assembled a mini-orchestra of
exceptionally talented London based musicians who together
give his songs a thrilling life of their own.
