Under The Spire have some fancy new packaging for their release of Ryonkt's Window To The Room CD. It's like their usual design has been stretched to A5 then given a fancy fold out card disc holder. This is called a Carlos Pak and it's the first one I've seen. Anyway Ryonkt (Ryo Nakata) recently had a CD out on Experimedia. It's a nice example of contemporary minimalism with very subtle tones. Everything here feels very precise. Ultimately this becomes very hypnotic and I'm definitely reminded of Celer and artists like Phill Niblock and Eleh where the material really comes into its own with the application of some decent volume. Hand numbered edition of 200 hand numbered copies.

The first release of 2010 on Under The Spire will be from Mr Ryo Nakata aka Ryonkt. It will be a 6 track album of his sublime, subtle tones called Window To The Room. I’m a huge fan Of Ryo’s work and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I have listening over the last few months. Window To The Room will be released in new oversized packaging from Stumptown printers.
