Lexithimie - No Matter How Many More Times, Repeat

No Matter How Many More Times, Repeat by Lexithimie

4...according to our on Thu 14 Jan, 2010.

Lexithimie is an ex-pat Frenchman, now living in London Village and he's responsible for the latest installment of the Hibernate 3" series. I've not heard any of these, they've been flying out the door in their cute textured white envelopes. Over four tracks, he produces this warm, flowing textured drone/pulsating tone thing incredibly well, really uplifting & evocative stuff, especially on the stunning 'Scale 2'. As you're probably aware, it's ridiculously hard to pinpoint influences or particular bedfellows when writing about this contemporary generation of "ambient" sound artists. The music is either great and absorbing or occasionally just dull & boring. This fits in the former category with ease. 'No Matter How Many Times, Repeat' is well limited so don't dither!

Lexithimie is Alexis Béchu, originally from France and now based in London. Alexis uses Laptop and digital tape recorder to process his music and is well known for his releases on Rope Swing Cities (The Poems of Longfellow) and October Man (Night Flight). No matter how many times, repeat his third release supplies 22 minutes of pure audio bliss consisting of minimal tone variations and brief pulses.
