Christy & Emily - Superstition

Superstition by Christy & Emily

Big Print is proud to announce the release of Superstition, the new album by Brooklyn based psychedelic folk duo Christy & Emily. C&E released their debut album Gueen's Head on NYC label The Social Registry in August 2007. The duo spent the next year and a half orchestrating this wonderful follow up album, which includes a string trio, vibraphone and the mighty drum playing of Kid Millions from Oneida. Big Print's Robert Lloyd (singer of the critically acclaimed post-punk legends The Nightingales) was delighted to add his favourite group to his roster. Lloyd, who has been calling C&E "the best band in the World" for years now, also believes that Superstition includes some of  finest songs. Classically trained pianist Emily Manzo and self taught punk guitarist Christy Edwards prove a unique combination with a live repertoire that would shame the majority of so called musical explorers. The superb nine song Superstition album feature's C&E's usual eclectic mix of fantastic melodies, beautiful vocals and sonic experimentation. Superstition is already garnering glowing reviews and to support it's release C&E will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland from February 7 - 21. They will be returning to the UK in the Spring to tour with The Nightingales. They have also recorded a follow up to Superstition, produced by Hans-Joachim Irmler from Krautrock legends Faust. Titled No Rest, the girls' third album will be released later this year.

Track List: 1. Chicken Little 2. Golden Rings 3. Gueen's Head 4. Lover's Talk 5. Superstition 6. Nightingale 7. 105 & Rising 8. Tidal Wave 9. Tigers
