Here's one of those things that sells itself. These types of things are great. You can just list up a bunch of artists, explain what the project is about and bobs yer uncle. You don't even need to say if it's any good or not. Genius. Fortunately this In Sea Remixes is a bit useful like. It's essentially the entire album of In Sea but remixed hence the name... On this floaty electronic experimental opus you get remixes by The Declining Winter, Yellow 6, Rameses III, Summer Cats, Keith Canisius, ThisQuietArmy, Landing and lots more. That's the kind of line up that gets you floaty twitchers dripping wet with excitement and like your good selves I now need a change of pant. It's more experimental than I expected as some of the mixes are weirder than I thought but underneath it all lies that gorgeous floaty drifty melodies which make it all worthwhile. Excellent from start to end and numbered of just 500 copies!!

A diverse collection of artists in genres ranging from noise to indie-pop to shoegaze and electronic remix and rework Aarktica's 2009 release In Sea. All tracks are exclusive to this release and unavailable elsewhere!

Remixers include Ramses III, Landing, ThisQuietArmy, Mason Jones, Keith Canisus (Rumskib), Yellow6, Declining Winter (Richard of Hood), Suckers, Remora, and Summer Cats (Slumberland Records).

CD is limited to 500 hand-numbered copies with art packaging by Starbage Hands Press in Portland, OR.

Aarktica's latest release In Sea has been praised as a return to form for the decade-old drone/ambient act, garnering heavy airplay on dozens of indie radio stations throughout the country including WFMU, WNYU, KUCI, WUSB, and SomaFM. Aarktica continues to perform live in the Northeast in support of the album.
