It's Pop Ambient 10 time and I'm sure Kompakt fans could probably guess most of the lineup pretty easily, with the usual suspects including Marsen Jules, Wolfgang Voigt, The Orb, DJ Koze, Jurgen Paape, Dettinger and Thomas Fehlmann. As for newer names (to me at least, going off rapidly fading memory) we've got the likes of Brock van Wey, Brock van Wey and the excellent Brock van Wey.. After the slight change in focus with last year's Pop Ambient towards different artists and a more genuinely ambient (and occasionally neo-classical sound (nuking the fluffy beats that occasionally reared their heads in previous years) they seem to have kept the musical remit whilst allowing the older hands to return and see what they can do with it. And they do good with it like! It's all floaty and warm and not particularly challenging but totally nice and if you're interested in this that's probably exactly what you what you're after.
