I've been totally digging Four Tet's 'Love Cry' 12" and it's accompanying Joy Orbison remix so I was well pleased when Kieran Hebden's new collection appeared in the office yesterday. Entitled 'There is Love in You', this new collection takes the melodic sensibilities of Hebden's previous folk-tronic output and squeezes it into dancefloor friendly nuggets of truth. This is good news if you ask me and certainly reflects the needs of Hebden's nightshift at Fabric, after all he's gotta be able to drop an original composition into the mix whilst still pandering to the demands of the dancefloor. 'There is Love in You' is the sound of a rejuvenated and inspired Hebden composing some of his best work to date, and I'm well into it. From the arpeggio dominated headfuck of 'Circling' to the dry, funk infused 'Pablo's Heart' and the already familiar proto house of 'Love Cry' this album is a delight from start to finish and will only get better with repeated listening.

The new Four Tet music finds Kieran Hebden mixing the tunefulness of his classic ‘Rounds’ with a more 4/4 oriented pace in keeping with the more club focussed music on the stunning ‘Ringer’ EP. The recent ‘Love Cry’ 12” has really announced the return of Four Tet in spectacular fashion, setting dancefloors alight alongside the hot Joy Orbison remix.
Available on CD and double LP. The double gatefold LP is beautifully presented in hardback board mounted sleeve and is limited to 500 copies.
