Freschard's 'Click Click' is an irresistibly charming collection of tunes from French Berliner, Clemence Freschard. The music is a subtle combination of drums, keyboards and bass with the addition some sterling guitar work from Lord Stanley Brinks (Andre Herman Dune). 'Click Click' oozes french indie pop class with Freschard's beautiful vocal tones guiding us through ten sweet tracks. Sorta reminds me of Stereolab in parts but also hints at chicago post rock jazziness with it's warm bass tones and occasional use of clarinet and trumpet. It's incredibly laid back, traditional stuff yet the addition of Lord Stanley Brinks's guitar work gives these tunes an unpredictability with odd solo's and strange chord changes taking the music to altogether new places. Pretty much everything on this record is worth a listen especially if you love the humour of french indie pop. Beautiful and witty stuff.

What a fantastic album! It's been knocking around on CDR for a while... but it's so good to see it finally get the treatment it deserves.
