Ramp Recordings drop a unfeasibly limited 12” EP of exclusive beats and treats. Originally given away free at the Lightbox on the 25th of November, the remaining 100 copies have been made available to divide between shops. The vinyl features tracks from every act playing on the night - six artists, six tracks. As is the way with Ramp, we get a mix of future beats, dubstep and wonky-hop, with Sampha's "Neon Blue" opening the show with some 8-bit b-boy action. Slugabed hit the electro-wonk spot with the aptly named "Thump Ass" - if this doesn't have your booty shaking, I'm not sure what will! Tokimonsta offers up something deeper with "Let Me Trick U", part beats, part dubstep. Future beat pioneer Shortstuff hits us with the complex "A Rustling (Frozen VIP)", which starts off a bit random, but gets in a bass-thumping UK funky groove from halfway. SBTRKT comes with fresh garage-meets-dubstep-meets-techno style on "Kaoss" - possibly the best cut here. Last but not least we have All City's PUDGE with the Dilla-esque beats of "LeavingbabylonelyAgain".
