Adam Green - Minor Love

Minor Love by Adam Green

4...according to our on Thu 07 Jan, 2010.

Adam Green has been keeping busy since his Moldy Peaches hayday with 'Minor Love' being his sixth solo outing. I don't think i've heard the other five but this one sounds alot like classic Lou Reed to me. The production has a simple, honest quality that lets the music (and the man) doing the talking, which it indeed does. Lyrically Mr. Green is both charming and graceful, much like Lou Reed. Musically it's a mish mash of tunes that appear to be inspired by all things NEW YORK!!! So, bits of it sound like Velvets, some like Magazine, some like The Strokes, bit like Moldy Peaches....you get the idea. I like the humble nature of 'Minor Love'. It ain't bold, just beautiful.....much like the man himself....he's a handsome devil ain't he...

Adam Green is a famous American celebrity... from New
York City. At the beginning of his career he moved to
Germany to seek political asylum, from the persecution of
his talents. He was greeted with open arms and formed a
theatre company, which produced a ballet concert. While
living in East Germany, he was offered a co-starring role
in the movie ‘Juno’, which won a Grammy and went
platinum.

After his work with The Moldy Peaches was done, he
recorded six solo albums, including the latest, ‘Minor
Love’.

Recorded with long time producer / friend Noah
Georgeson in a luxurious Los Angeles pool house fondly
nicknamed The Lake Room,  'Minor Love‘ found Green
enlisting the talents of Rodrigo Amarante from Little
Joy and other hangers-on, like his brother Joel and look-a-
likes Joe Steinbrick and Greg from Megapuss.
