They've let me out of my grotto to bring you a seasonal treat courtesy of our favourite band of the year O Children. Described as 'a joke band' by our Business Lady earlier in the year nevertheless we all had sleepless nights while the hooks of their preposterous debut single 'Dead Disco Dancer' ate its way into our skulls. The follow up is the same song again..... 'Dead Disco Dancer' - its kind of Joy Division does Duran Duran with a vocal so preposterously low you are scrambling to the record player to attempt to turn it to 78rpm. But this time the main A side is a remix by The Golden Filter which turns up the christmas filter with some heavenly choir like sounds, marching band drums and the odd festive dub splice. This is an absurd, ridiculous but in some ways brilliant record. And its even better on 33rpm. Forget Rage Against the Machine or Joe McElderry, this should be christmas number one - i'm off to start a facebook group. Merry Christmas.TRACKLISTING:
