Well, just when we thought the Nuggets / Elevators hugging sounds of the Strange Boys would define American garage rock of late and then the slightly glammed scuzz '62 Stones sound of the Smith Westerns popped up, lo and behold before the end of 2009 and here we have the debut lp from the Jacuzzi Boys, amazing ass-shaking, head bobbin' Nuggets and Elevators worshipping garage anthems (I mean, really, “Island Ave”, is better than anything else out this week…for sure) for the youth of today,…they wont get on Jools Holland, but they will fuck your younger sister..The wait is over. After a string of successful 7"s, and a year and a half of serious touring these boys have honed their craft and give their best effort yet. 12 tracks of good times summer psych jams capturing the top down beach cruising essence of Miami life. My boys have done good.
