OVERVIEW:
The quintet that makes up Hampshire-based Canterbury were so young when the tracks that were to become debut album, ‘Thank You’, were recorded, that they were still not allowed to play shows because they would interfere with school. The album was recorded by - at the time - unknown producer Peter Miles (these days probably most notable for his work with The King Blues), before he had his own studio, in drummer Scott’s living room over a three week period.

Fast forward nearly two years later and after a succession of false-starts and broken promises, Canterbury are ready to finally unleash the opus, having toured relentlessly for the last 18 months, clocking up shows alongside Enter Shikari, You Me At Six and The Automatic in the process.

The physical CD of 'Thank You' will be available on Friends Vs. Records (Dinosaur Pile-Up, Data Select Party) from independent record stores, and a special handmade box version of the album (details a little vague at present) will be available at shows and via the band's online store.

Before that however, there’s impending dates supporting Billy Talent, then Hundred Reasons and their own headline jaunt.
