Invasion Vs Shackleton - Wizards In Dub

Wizards In Dub by Invasion Vs Shackleton

TRACKLISTING:
Side A – Wizards In Dub (Part One)
Side B – Wizards In Dub (Part Two)

OVERVIEW:
“This is an absolutely AWESOME piece of work… I think it's a serious contender for Mix Of The Year” Mary Anne Hobbs, Radio 1
Brand new remixes from dubstep pioneer Shackleton on this, the début release from Less Music. It’s the brand new sister label to This Is Music (whose releases last year included Mujava’s “Township Funk“, Graham Massey’s “Sisters Of Transistors” and riff heavy metallers Invasion), A&R’d by This Is Music’s very own Luke Williams, and dedicated to releasing music too esoteric for the main label. This completes a trio: This Is Music, More Music (which will focus on all things dance music) and Less Music.
“Wizards In Dub” is a two part remix / rework, which comprises elements from two different tracks: “Follow The Smoke” and “Six Red Wizards“, taken from Invasion’s début album “The Master Alchemist“. This album was recorded in 4 days at Toerag studios in Hackney all to tape, and the parts were sent to Shackleton with a brief to do whatever he wanted.
He’s come up with a slice of future minimal dub, featuring layered vocals that move in and out of phase over distorted feedback loops.
