Nochexxx ft. Sensational - Smashing Your Systems EP

Smashing Your Systems EP by Nochexxx ft. Sensational

Collaborations work. The force between Nochexxx and former Jungle Brother MC Sensational compounded together is a solution, a musical bond. The style of Nochexxx’s solo work has always been dark, alternative and a mixture of dulcet clashes of distant house. The release of this new 12” reignites the collection of crisp drums, broken synthesizer bass and sweeping eclectic noise. Nochexxx has styled and manipulated his original experimental sounds to coincide with Sensational’s structured Brooklyn rhymes. The outcome is a forceful and complex production of sparse atmosphere and lyrical mastery. ‘Smashing Your Systems’ has conquered boundaries surrounding hip hop and distorted techno house, and Sensational glues it together with the lyrical flow of a young Mos Def and the storytelling finesse of Ghostface. The dexterity between the processed snares and array of clicks is mellowed out by the reoccurring samples, further confirming the relationship between Nochexx and Sensational is clearly a concept that has populated into a distinctive and enjoyable sound. The much-anticipated release of this record brings forward the combination of two genres, that when collided appropriately, dissolve into a balance of justice between the two. Both artists are clearly striving within their zones of musical prowess, reaching out to new heights. These two tracks – ‘Sinbliss’ and ‘Smashing Your System’ itself - are progressively exciting and provide a foundation for across-the-pond combinations between underground genres, with British music production once again at the forefront of experimental sounds. The collective of the London based acid hip hop producer and Brooklyn MC has already grasped attention from Mary Anne Hobbs, who recently commissioned an exclusive Nochexxx mix for her world renowned Radio One show.
