The Rifle Volunteer - End Season

· Based in North London, The Rifle Volunteer are Adam
Symonds (main vocals / guitar), Nicholas Brown
(vocals / bass), Tim Roddis (guitar), Neal Sidney
(vocals / keys) and Iggy Murray (drums). Forming
earlier this year, they share a desire to create dramatic
and dark music and were all looking to do something
different and away from hardcore and noise.
· Setting up base at the Islington branch of Britannia Row
(where Joy Division recorded ‘Closer’), they’ve
achieved their aim with aplomb, their debut single is
simultaneously melancholic, thoughtful and poetic,
coloured with immersive melody and with hooks you
won’t forget in a hurry. A promising prospect for the
future, The Rifle Volunteer are now working on plans for
2010 and aim to record their debut album not long in to
the New Year.
