HOT CHIP’s Joe Goddard releases his solo EP Apple Bobbing on Greco-Roman, the record label and party collective that he started with 3 other friends. His first ever solo release, this EP winds from woozy ambience to the polyrhythms of London’s clubland and back again, has a strange fixation with fruit and features a stunning remix from FOUR TET.
 
Joe Goddard is no stranger to clubs. As a member of Hot Chip he’s played more than his fair share, as well as remixing, and being remixed by, the great and the good. As a DJ he’s been around the world on top of masterminding Bugged Out and DJ Kicks compilations. The fourth Hot Chip album is due in February 2010 and this EP - which draws on influences from UK garage, Aphex Twin and of course Hot Chip - will squarely appeal to their fanbase in the meantime.
