The Village Orchestra drop another dancefloor bomb with four tracks of thumping sub-lo techno, inspired in part by the schlocky writings of H.P. Lovecraft. Following on from previous 12” ‘The Dark Is Rising’ on Stuffrecords, these tracks continue precision styled explorations into the outer side of the dance - hyperactive percussion, jacking kick drums and some serious low end bass create a dirty machine funk to shake back ends as much as tickle the cerebrum. Receiving support from Resident Advisor, FACT and Sonic Router amongst others, this EP limited-to-300 EP “carries off the low end bumps with the unrelenting prevalence of an aging drunk with a pint glass full of Magners and a neck full of Viagra.”
