Toronto Canada’s Barzin have been very busy following the release of their Sophomore album ‘My Life In Rooms’ in Europe last spring. Two tours of Europe, plus regular dates and festivals in Canada have kept them on the move. In October, the album was released in the USA and has become a favourite among the bloggers, making the elbo.ws list of most blogged about tracks 2 weeks running. The track ‘Let’s Go Driving’ was selected as the daily download track at Salon.com and also featured on villagevoice.com along with ‘Just More Drugs’ (which also appeared on the covermount CD Magnet Magazine). The video for ‘Leaving Time’, directed by French filmmaker Vincent Moon (The National, Jamie Liddell) was debuted on popular blogsite Stereogum and has been heavily downloaded and appears in various ‘top videos of 2006’ lists. The band took some time out after returning from Europe to record a cover of ‘Sad & Beautiful World’, which was included in a Sparklehorse tribute album on Slight Records. The ‘Just More Drugs’ ep contains the album version of ‘Just More Drugs’ from ‘My Life In Rooms’, plus two radio session versions of album tracks ‘Let’s Go Driving’ and ‘Just More Drugs’ , a cover of Tindersticks’ ‘Mistakes’ and a new song ‘Queen Jane’. Tracks : Just more drugs (album version), let’s go driving (resonance fm session), mistakes, queen jane, just more drugs (resonance fm), leaving time (quicktime video)
