The new The Dead Weather single sees Jack White and pals rocking some mutant reggae-tinged Blockheads-esque blues number. On 'I cut like a buffalo' Jackie 'the boy' White feels it necessary to drop some street wise raps on this unsuspecting reviewer along with some strange chocking sounds that further mystify me. What's going on here? I'm not sure if anyone knows...B-side 'A child of a few hours is burning to death' is a West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band cover that comes of sounding a hell of a lot better than the A-side. Not an amazing cover but atleast the sweet riff remains untainted by Jack White-isms.The third single off the critically lauded Horehound LP finds the nigh-reggae vibe and stuttered Jack White vocals of I Cut Like a Buffalo and pairs it with the decidedly lick-heavy cover of the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band s A Child of a Few Hours is Burning to Death which is exclusive to this release. The CD single, DL etc is being released by SONY in UK to tie in with the Dead Weather debut UK tour, .the Dead Weather members comprise: Jack Lawrence, Allison Mosshart, Dean Fertita, and Jack White....this is some mighty big news.
