One Inch Badge have their third split series 7" record out and the cover is well smart. One side has a picture of Jesus' little head popping out of a girlies pee thing. It's totally inspired. The Lovvers track I reckon must be an oldie as it's more like The Jonson Family stuff, a bit more rugged and hardcore then their current sound. Kinda aggro... It rocks man. Brett thinks the guitars are like Greg Ginn and I think I agree. The Knyfe Hits track is pretty filthy too and when it really kicks in sounds well trashed and am digging the bassline. All cool so far... Flip.... The Death Set do their thing with some drum machines in a kind of Ministry/Early Blast First Sigue Sigue Sputnik sort of mode. Best Fwends rock it like Maiden!* Only 450 copies available worldwide.

* Lovvers are a lo-fi scuzzy dance-punk four-piece featuring members of the seminal UK post-metal band The Murder of Rosa Luxemberg.
* During the writing process for the eagerly awaited new Ex Models album, Zach Lehrhoff and Shahin Motia ended up inadvertently writing a bunch of hypnotic and overdriven stoner-rock jams. Deciding that they weren’t quite right for Ex Models, Zach and Shahin teamed up with ex-Ex Model and Oneida guitarist Shah Motia to form Knyfe Hyts.
* Drenched with b-movie samples and grotesque brain-eating lyrics, The Death Set ’s track is a furious, electro-punk track that features ludicrously fast keys, killer riffs, and Johnny’s trademark high-pitched rapid-fire punk snarl.
* Following on from last years Alphabetically Arranged album on Moshi Moshi comes the new offering from Austin Texas kings of spazz-punk, Best Fwends. Epic from start to finish Hail is Best Fwends at their most demented and sleep
deprived.
