Edinburgh’s Alfonzo have built up more than a solid reputation for themselves on Scotland’s live circuit over the past 3 years. Having shared stages with the likes of Doves, Snow Patrol and Feeder, everyone who has experienced the live Alfonzo show is in agreement that they know how to work a crowd. In the last few months they have also played the Versus Cancer charity gig at the O2 Academy Glasgow with the Fratellis and Travis.
Alfonzo are Daniel McGeever (Vox, Keyboard), Mikey Cook (Guitar), Chris Cook (Bass) and Andrew Innes (Drums). With a recent signing to D Set Records under their belt, ‘Blind As Faith’ is being released as the band’s debut single on 28th September. Combining classic rock with modern indie, lead singer Daniel penned the track as a comment on religion and the unshakable faith that consumes certain followers.
The band are currently making their debut album with award winning Scottish producer Jim Sutherland, and appeared on Huw Stephens’ Introducing stage at this year’s Latitude Festival, which should prove the perfect setting for newcomers to get acquainted with Alfonzo.
