Runaround Kids - Kiss Chase

Kiss Chase by Runaround Kids

4...according to our on Thu 03 Sep, 2009.

It kinda seems from reading Runaround Kids' press release (such as it charmingly is) that they must be from around here somewhere but we're all well clued-up and none of us know them so what does that mean? It means 'Kiss Chase' is a five track EP on a pleasantly cheap CD is what it means. And it also means that it's fuzzy lo-fi indie and it admittedly does sound like a little bit of a nineties throwback, although comparisons with the usual suspects (Sebadoh, Pavement, Superchunk etc.) don't quite right true.. There's something going on with their sound that fits in more with janglier earlier Britisher pleasures. Spritely bouncy fun, one thinks.

We've existed for a year or two, depending on your definition of 'exist'. Our first gig was in a sports hall. Since then we've been told we sound like Dinosaur Jr about 50 times. We're not 'alt 90s revivalists'. Seriously. Still, I suppose Dinosaur Jr are held in pretty high regard by some people. We don't really know what we're doing.

We have a NEW EEPEE out on 17th August, it's on Philophobia and it's our first professional release. It will be available at Jumbo and Crash records in Leeds, Norman records, and through us. Also on iTunes as a download, but no-one likes downloads.
